Interview with the VampireThere were many movies that were inspired or based from by books, not all were good, some were ok, maybe a few were really good, even briliant.
Interview With The Vampire is a film based on a novel by Anne Rice. Needless to say the book is fantastic but I was really amazed that the film was really good!
You can actually feel the old times when watching the films. The horses, the mansions, the people and the attitude and...the vampires!
The film is beautifully made, like I said, there are great mansions to deliver the feeling of wealth and richness of the old time, there is a great theatre scene with Antonio Banderas, this film truly feels like it’s real and that’s great...
The cast is amazing too. Brad Pitt and Tom Cruise playing blood sucking vampires and doing so in a good taste...this film is good!
I think this is the best vampires movie ever made. It’s not a horror movie using vampires and it’s not supposed to be this way. It’s a tale of a vampire and everything he has gone through from the time he was transformed to one up to this day. So, in the course of the film we can relate to this vampire and feel his love, pain and hunger. This is a novel of its own on screen and it’s told beautifully.
There is something romantic about vampires and their special way of living. There is a great mystery surrounding them but this movie gives a tale of one from beginning to end. Like I said, not a horror movie but a great movie that is made to be this way just like told by Anne Rice. You will enjoy this movie and its sountrack too...I’m not sure if vampires are still in fashion these days but everytime you see this film, you’ll remember why everybody loves vampire, even if they’re the undead.
