So here is another one of those movies that my girlfriend was shocked that i hadn’t seen before, so she ‘forced’ me to watch it. I actually ended up enjoying it a lot more than i though i would have. In a way its like a retelling of Cinderella.

Sabrina, the main char and the daughter of a rich familys Chauffeur, she has always had a crush on one of the sons of the Rich family, David. But with the difference in classes David was something back in that time that was not only frowned upon, but David also showed no interest in Sabrina.

Sabrina then went to Paris to learn how to cook, and during this time she kept on sending letters to her father, and all of the staff kept on reading them and commenting on her things. a lot of reference to her obsession with David and then getting over David, and then her obsession with David. It was all very entertaining.

Then when she graduated from cooking school and came back she was a different person, and David fell instantly in love with her, but he didn’t know who it was at first. When he found out it was almost a shock to him, and that’s a good portion of the movie without ruining it anymore.

I enjoyed this movie,and even for how old it is, i was still laughing at point and could definitely relate to some of the situations.

+1 for a retelling of Cinderella
-1 for being slow in the middle
+1 for having scenes that still made me laugh that were over 60 years old
