Sex Drive

really ain’t bad.  i put it in the class of nick and norah.  you know, a coming of age/nerdy boy and girl fall in love after being friends for a long time put over the course of 90 minutes realize they are perfect for each other. you’ve seen this one before.  but i was at time laughing out loud.  to myself as i was the only person in the theater.  but laugh out loud i did on more that one occasion.  there a few scenes that are pretty damn funny. if i’m comparing it to nick and norah’s infinite playlist, which i have already, i’d say this one is funnier, but not as good.  if that makes any sense.  i guess for over all effect, nick and norah is superior as a film.  but this one will leave you laughing as nick and norah leave you going, oh, that touches my heart. two and a half 15 year old camel toes out of five.

This movie was so crude and so naked. I loved the hell out of it! Damn this movie's the shits! Alright so this movie is about Ian who meets this really hot girl on the Internet and after flirting with each other for some months, she invites him over to her place in Nashville so they can have sex. So he steals his brother's awesome car and with is friends, they make a road trip across the country in hopes that he will finally lose his virginity. Hence the title,Sex Drive. Sex Drive is at it's simplest a road trip movie. It goes through all the usual perks and plot twists that a road trip movie has. Somewhere along the movies, the cars gonna break down,or they're gonna get chased by rednecks, or they're gonna stop by a carnival or small town and totally bring the place down. And if it's a romance film, the main character is going to fall i love with the female character that goes along with him on the road trip but was originally reluctant and had to b dragged along. ...

i hate this movie. i was even in a more accepting and possibly inebriated state when i watched it, and i still hate it. it’s like they took everything that every other good comedy had already done, and tried to reproduce it in a shittier format. did i laugh? i’d answer that, but do you even care? you shouldn’t. sex drive cost 19 million to make, and grossed 17 million worldwide. i feel a deep sense of satisfaction when i see that. i hope they learned their lesson: stop making shitty movies. i give this cesspool of awfulness a 0/7.

Now I have never seen the original, I watched the Unrated version first. When you first try to watch the unrated version, the director and one of the writers comes on screen warning you to not watch that version first, but to watch the theatrical version first. Well I ignored that warning and went ahead and watched it anyways. Now the beginning of this movie was slow, it was entertaining, but it felt like nothing was ever going to happen. Then once the guys get in the car to go on a trip across county is when the movie starts its momentum and it never lets go. Ever. This movie is not cameo heavy, but there are more than a few random celebrities, my favorite of course is Seth Green,there is nothing that Seth Green touches that is not golden in my book. And in this movie he plays an Amish-man. Fucking Genius. He also at one point said something so funny that me and my girldfriend could not stop laughing and we missed a whole scene because we were laughing over it so damned...
