The Gist Adam Sandler is striving to be a successful architect in his company. To get to the top, he needs to sacrifice a lot of precious family time. His super-gorgeous hot-hoochie-mama beautiful sexy wife Kate Beckinsale goes through the thick and thin with him by trying to be an understanding wife. I’m sure Sandler and the other writers/filmmakers followed my train of thought because in the “beyond” is where Sandler meets Morty who gives him the remote control. Had you have said that Adam Sandler would play a character that wasn’t a loser, but rather a guy that just works too hard, most people would laugh at you. It’s amazing how far he has come over time. I wouldn’t go so far as to call this role tragic, because the tragedies that befall him him are his own...
