BATMAN RETURNS (1992)

BACK COVER SYNOPSIS: "Funny, Wild, Imaginative. A Visual Marvel!" FILM REVIEW: I'm of two minds on this film. On the one hand, this is a visually rich, dramatically inventive, character driven piece that works well if it were not a Batman film but rather a "Tim Burton" film. The end result is a villain that rivals Nicholson’s Joker, and that’s saying a lot. Christopher Walken didn’t have any source material to draw from since Maxwell Shreck was created for this film exclusively. Still, he does an excellent job by creating a character who is as evil as they come, yet good natured to the citizen of the city.’ Michelle...
