Crimson Tide

I think 1995 was a great year for films. We had The Usual Suspects, Crimson Tide, Twelve Monkeys and more. Because this is a review about Crimson Tide, I’ll talk about it a bit. The movie takes place inside an American nuclear sub. The cast is very good and we can see there Denzel Washington, Gene Hackman and even Viggo Mortensen and James Gandolfini when they were younger and before The Sopranos. There is something very cool about films that take place underwater or in space, in places not on ground but alien...and when the army is involved, it’s even more tense. I always liked films that deal with the army and the dilemas and conflicts there are during war. This film has it all. It has dilemas and conflicts between Hackman’s character and Washington’s character and inside a nuclear sub this kind of a conflict is always dangerous. Not much special effects in this film but who needs them when you have so much tension between Hackman and Washington inside a sub that...
