Men in Black 2Men in Black was a great movie. This sequel is not great but it’s ok.
There’s nothing new here actually. Still Will Smith (funny as always) and the all time easy going Tommy Lee Jones. The only good editions here are the lovely Rossario Dawson and the beautiful Lara Flynn Boyle playing a villain alien. That’s one sexy alien if I may say so…yum yum.
The sound is the same as the first, the plot is a bit different but also easy to follow and understand, the jokes are the same…nothing too new but still funny and make some good laughs. The same special effects but a few editions with the costumes and the alien types, not too bad, very nice and keeps in life with the first film, makes it ok…why push to new boundaries if the first one worked, right?
The length of the film is 88 minutes only, so I guess there was nothing new to add and like I said, this second film is very similar to the first one so when you have nothing to add, you keep it the standard hour and a half…and it’s fine by me…
Cinematography is beautiful again, different aliens, big city and a whole lot of people. There are some great scenes in the film but I won’t ruin it to you, what I liked most in this one is the talking dog and the talking worms who were so funny…even funnier than Will Smith himself…yes, yes…I’m not crazy…talking worms is one of the funniest and cutest things you’ll ever encounter…I know it sounds bizarre but it’s so…
All in all, there’s nothing new in this film that you haven’t already seen in the first one…so if you’re not a die hard fan of Men in Black, it’s not necessary to watch this one. If you do have the time and nothing too serious or interesting to do…press play and let me know if you liked it…it’s good, but not more.
